I may have found a sneaky way around gadget restrictions...
thinks - it's my habit to upgrade computers when the top of the line exceeds
mine by a factor of four...CT50 is way out of date but I'm happy with that
anyway, desktop is getting a bit long in the tooth though...
'Anita, can I have a new laptop?'
'How much is it'
'Oh, just a couple of Łk...'
'No, you promised me a car!'
'Ah, how about I get a new motherboard and processor for the desktop then?'
'How much is that?'
'Only a coupla hundred quid...'
'Oh go on then, if you must...'
This is actually a cunning plan to make the thing so quick to play the
animations at the end of patience that she can't tell when she's won, and I
might get the damn thing back on occasion!
