If you install a recent (<~6 months old) version of LILO into the boot sector of the drive OR the bootable partition that the BIOS can see, everything will be fine. At worst you will have to pass the drive geometry to the kernel. There used to be a limitation that you could only boot from the first 1024 cylinders, but GRUB fixed that, and thanks to open source, LILO followed very soon after. Now it's only windows that has problems :-) > Thanks, > > David > > > ===== > [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Paul Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://paulbristow.net ICQ: 11965223 ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------UNSUBSCRIBE------- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=cmd:unsubscribe --------UNSUBSCRIBE DIGEST------ Use above but add DIGEST to the subject line... **************************************************************
