You should get two bits to make this easy...
One, a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, typically about $10 each - it
should allow you to set the drive as master/slave.
Two, you would want to get a removeable drive sled - this will
allow you to add/remove the drive from your desktop without
opening the case, these are typically $10-25, depending on
source.
