Since you're doing so many re-installs of Win95, you might want to give the
following some thought.
- Put two partitions on the drive, making the D: drive big enough for an
entire Win95 CD (hopefully you've got a big enough drive for this).
- Install Win95 on the machine (from floppy).
- Get a CD-ROM working (here's hoping you don't have similar problems with
that).
- Copy the entire Win95 CD to a subdirectory on your D: drive (there's some
stuff you don't need, but I'm not at home to check right now).
- Wipe the C: drive and re-install Win95 from the D: drive (to C: of
course!).
- Now you've got the equivalent of a full CD install on your libretto with
the contents of the CD available from your D: drive whenever you need them.
This makes re-installs and other system upgrades/changes (new hardware,
settings changes, etc.) so easy.
This is just one way to go about it. But let me tell you, it is super
convenient (if you've got the space).

OK, I am kind of enjoying rebuilding my HD over and over
so I am going to keep at it. So this time I will copy
each disk to my hd and when the system asks me for disk
11 or whatever I will point it to that file.
Still, sometimes the installer asks me for files that I
have no idea of where they are.
Let me ask you folks another question, have any of you
installed an ethernet card and found the installer
software to be very easy to use (for an L50)?
If so, please tell me the brand and model, I need a
TBase 10/100 with the standard RJ45? jack to it.
One of these days I will get this thing working and
get rid of that darn floppy disk.
