Y'know... i think you're right. I came to use the 100 today after it had
been idle for about an hour and the hdd had in fact spun down! I think this
was the first time i ever observed it being idle while the system was
powered up and maybe it has to do with my 100 being networked and accessing
the net 'via the network (sometimes the browser or OE5 remains open also).

But then again it shouldn't because the desktop that serves the 'net usually
spins down within a half hour of being idle and remains like that even while
the 100 is fetching documents or mail...!? And they both run 64 ram...

Are you using 98 or 98 second edition? Perhaps that makes a difference?
