Subject: O/S question
In reading the several threads about installing the various versions of
Win98 (SE, ME), I began to wonder and thought I'd ask the group - why go
through the hassle of installing these systems as opposed to just keeping
the Win98 that came with the 110CT? No, I'm serious. Actually, what I'm
looking for is what improvements do these flavors of Win98 have over the
original release for the Libretto that warrants the upgrade. I'm using Win98
on the 110CT and my home PC and use Windows 2000 on my office laptop
(company issued it). So far I have not had any problems with 98 on the 110.
Admittedly, I don;t use the USB port in my replicator nor the infrared
device. I am in process of considering a network with my home pc and my
son's and in preparing, have added an ether net card that the computer
seems to recognize. I can't get it to work with the pc using a wire between
the 2 and assume I need the hub. I'll admit to my ignorance for these
networks, being used to UNIX systems in this regard.
