I got the hibernation/suspend to work fine on my 110CT - even with IR
monitor active and limited network support. I admit it was after a clean
install of Tosh's Win98, followed by the Win98se update CD...
I found this little piece of info:

which suggests the default 110CT display driver doesn't work well in Win98.
I found a driver called l100vid8.exe on either Tosh US or Canada sites which
replaced it.
Also I found a shutdown supplement program for Win98se on Microsoft's
support site (not sure of the URL, but I've got the file if you want it)
called 4756us8.exe.
Also I found that if I bound NETBEUI to my network adapter the 110CT would
only hibernate / suspend once, then lock up on the second try with a black
screen.
