I have just bought one of those Travelstar 8e pcmcia drives (it seemed a
bargain at $US139) but my Libretto 100ct (win98se) cannot recognise it. The
PC card port registers its presence and sometimes recognises it as a hard
drive but it does not assign it a drive letter. I am not a computer expert
but think it may be a BIOS problem? Any ideas on how to be able to use it
with the Libretto anybody? Incidentally, the travelstar 8e works beautifully
with my IBM Thinkpad.
