Date: Sun, 29 Apr 2001 17:25:49 -0400 (EDT) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Off topic:LCD display problems Speaking of off-topic, my girlfriend has an old acer laptop (an acernote "light" 370PC to be exact, although I think its lightness claim is probably relative to a mainframe). Anyway, the LCD display (for which I never did find the right monitor driver), has started having a number of light vertical lines which extend from the top to about half-way down the screen. I can cause them to temporarily disappear by flexing the screen correctly, so I suspect it's a cabling thing in the lid, but before I attempt to pull the lid apart and probably stuff the whole thing (As my ever-trusting girlfriend currently expects), I thought I should check for alternate plans. So - any ideas?
