Tom,

I have not done exactly what you are asking, but I did take my 6 Gig
(not a 20 Gig) out of my 70CT and put it in my new (to me) 100CT. In my
case, it already had Win98 installed on it, so I wasn't updating the OS
either.

The REAL problem is the suspend to disk area!!! I had left an extra 32
Mb not partitioned when I formatted the 6 Gig drive originally, so I
actually have 64 Mb left at the end of the drive for the suspend to disk
(my 100CT has 64 Mb RAM). That said, I have never tried it to make sure
it works (I've only had the 100CT less than a month) NOR do I really
want to try to find out. All I know is that the 100CT is not complaining
about it.

In the case of your 20 Gig HD, you almost certainly DO NOT have 64 Mb
reserved in the middle (that's where it needs to be because the the 8
Gig BIOS limit) and 'something' (most likely something real important)
would get overwritten if the 110CT suspends to disk (this is assuming
that it will even accept the HD in the first place due to lack of
suspend space).

Wish I could give a more definitive answer. Hope this helps.

Regards,

        Clinton Parker
