Subject: Libretto 50 and PCMCIA
I loaded Win 98 onto my Libretto 50 a while back. After doing so I lost
access to my pc card. I have tried numerous cards, the one coming
closest to actually working is a 3com - it is recognized in the system
manager and elsewhere without any conflicts. It, for a period, worked
with an Addonics cd player but for some reason quit. All indications
suggested that these devices are loaded and not in conflict with any
other device. Any suggestions deeply appreciated.
I am also looking for a new battery. I am not sure where to go for one
nor what I should be looking at in terms of cost.
For some reason I love this old machine. It does almost everything I
need done from it except give me access to my lan. I really don't want
to give it up but I collect data and its important that I am able to
transfer that data on a daily basis to my main machine.
