Floppy install for Lib 110: 1.Download the floppy drive file, L110FDD8.EXE, from the Toshiba website (http://pcsupport.toshiba.com). Be sure to save the file in a known location or directory. 2.Open the device manager. 3.Hold down the ALT key on the keyboard and double-click on the MY COMPUTER icon located on the desktop. 4.Highlight the device manager tab at the top of system properties. 5.Remove any floppy disk controllers present by clicking once on the controller, then clicking Remove. 6.Choose the + sign next to the Floppy Disk Controllers category in device manager. 7.Highlight any listings present under this category individually and press the DEL (delete) key on the keyboard, answering "OK" to remove the device. 8.Exit the device manager by choosing Close. 9.Open Windows Explorer (Start/Programs/Windows Explorer). 10.Locate the downloaded file, L110FDD8.EXE, and execute it. Extract to the defaulted location (c:\FLOPPY.W98). 11.Refresh Windows Explorer (press F5 on the keyboard). 12.Open the FLOPPY.W98 folder and right click on the file TSBFLBFD.INF (depending on the settings in Windows Explorer, the .INF extension may or may not be present), and select "Install". 13.If prompted for the location of a file (for example, flbfd.inf) during installation, type in the directory where the files were extracted (i.e. C:\FLOPPY.W98) 14.Reboot the computer (Start/Shutdown/Restart) after the driver installation has completed. (copied from Tosh support site) You can do the above without the floppy drive in the PCMCIA slot... when you put the floppy drive into a slot, then it will finish the rest of the install.... which is what I did. It wasn't clear that the floppy drive needs to be in the pc slot, but it might be only one step then. I don't know if this will work for the Lib 100 using that floppy driver or not. Let me know if this helps!
