Just yesterday, I was musing over how my first PC was a TRS-80 Model III for
>$4000, and yet today, we can buy a new Sager 1GHz notebook for only $1300.
Happily, all the major computer equipment in between now and then (Model III,
Vic 20, 286, 386, 486, Apple II, Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, SNES, Playstation,
etc.) are emulated on the PC today through the hard work of many smart
programmers.
...strangest thing to see someone go ga-ga at me pulling a L50 out of a pants
pocket, turn it on, then startup Sonic the Hedgehog in full color and glory...
