I installed Slackware Linux (3.6, I think) in a similar machine (Libretto
ss1000), using NFS (you'll need a pcmcia network adapter). I don't
remember the exact steps, but I think I used the information on this web
page:

The Libretto is not my every day computer because of a broken screen, but
it still runs Linux. Let me know if you want me to look into it for some
files.
