Subject: Changing Linux video modes on a Lib70?
I (think I) have both 640x480 and 800x600 video modes set up in Linux on
my Lib70. AFAIK, the "usual" way to switch between them would be
Ctrl-Alt-(NumericKeypad)Plus or Ctrl-Alt-(NumericKeypad)Minus, and further
that (NumericKeypad)Plus is Fn-; (that is, hold down the Fn key and type a
semicolon) and (NumericKeypad)Minus is Fn-P. So, I would expect that,
when running in 640x480, that Ctrl-Alt-Fn-P or Ctrl-Alt-Fn-; would switch
me to a (virtual) 800x600, but when I press those keys nothing seems to
happen (i.e. moving the cursor to the screen edge does not scroll the
screen).
So, what am I missing? Or is there a better way to switch modes on a
Lib70?
If it helps any, the "Colour SVGA server" section of my XF86Config file
contains
Subsection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "800x600" "640x480"
ViewPort 0 0
EndSubsection
