I just got my 110CT reloaded today with the Toshiba backup disks (never did figure out how to use the Port CDROM - actually used my old BackPack). I also use the REX 5000 as well as the Palm M100. I loaded the Rex software and went to the Starfish site to add the updates/upgrades to use with the Lotus Oraganizer 5, Lotus Notes 5 and the Palm desktop which allows single step synching between all of the programs and the Palm and the Rex. I encountered the same problem. The company no longer supports the Rex. Possibly it is the result of Xircom's buyout by Intel couppled with the 6000 not using the same software. Does not bode well for the Rex unless Xircom/Intel updates the CDROM shipped with the 5000. I found the installer in the Xircom site and after installing, it pointed to the Starfish site that had the update/upgrade files so it appears that though the site is no longer directly supporting the products, the files are still there. OBTW, I also found that Starfish (Windows version) was not compliant and actually hung up but, the older DOS version was 2000 compliant - interesting. However, I use the Organizer and Lotus Notes client on the 110 and have Notes at the office. I use the serial port for the Rex (having no available slots left with the floppy drive, modem, lan, CDROM all occuping the slots. I synch the Palm through the IR port. ----Original Message Follows---- From: "Martin G. Ramirez" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: FLUFF: OT (sort of): Sidekick 95 Synch Libretto folks, I have a problem someone may have dealt with already. As the user of a L110CT and an HP 200LX palmtop PC, I have been looking for an easy way to synch PIM information on both systems. Recently, I acquired IntelliSynch for HP 200LX (1996 software) via eBay and started using it to synch info between the HP built in PIM apps and Starfish Software's Sidekick 95 (part of Corel WordPerfect Suite 7 for Win 95) installed on the L110 (running Win 98). IntelliSych has work perfectly interacting with these systems (as well as my office Dell), but I have had some behavior problems with Sidekick 95 itself (unrelated to synch activities). Perusal of the Corel website turned up an extensive area of tech documents concerning accessories that come with WP Suite, including Sidekick. It turns out that the problems I discovered are due to the fact that Sidekick 95 is not Year 2000 compliant, though it is stated that there are "updates to the Sidekick 95 program...available on Starfish's website...that will allow the Sidekick program to become Year 2000 compliant." However, the Starfish site no longer has these files available for download and contacting a tech support person about this did not result in any help ("we don't provide support for discontinued items beyond what you can get off the website"). SO, do any of you Sidekick 95 users have the update files needed for Y2K compliance? I do have a copy of Lotus Organizer 2.12 here which works fine with IntelliSych for HP 200LX, so if I can't get Sidekick 95 working smoothly, at least I have an alternative, but before I give up on this one, perhaps someone on the list has the files needed to solve this problem.
