Hi Robert! > I am afraid I don't have an answer for your question, only another question ! > I inherited a Lib 100 with NT already (kind of) installed and with no manuals. > The one thing I would really like to do is to get it to hibernate. > Do you have any tips on what I could try to make hibernation work ? You have to install APM for Windows NT, it is downloadable from Toshiba. It introduces 2 small icons on the right end of the taskbar: a power source symbol and the famous "hairy light bulb" - in NT-Version! Now you have the possibility to adjust all the power options: display brightness and timeout, HDD timeout, processor speed and some more. There ist also a new entry if you press the "Start"-button: "Suspend". Selecting this entry puts the Lib into suspend or hibernating, depending on the selection made at the hairy light bulb menu. Now we are very close to my question: moving the cursor above the power source symbol shows the remaining percentage, but not the remaining time. Probably it is not implemented. But maybe there is a trick to use anoter APM-module from Toshiba to show the remaining time... regards Gerhard BTW, I have to repeat it here again: I'm proud to say that I have never used (and hopefully will never use) an OS starting with number nine... 8-)) ________________________________________ Gerhard Kapusta Email home: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fax&Voicebox: +4989-1488201115 ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
