I would like to know people's opinions and experiences with the various hard drive brands, especially from the point of view of idling and seeking noise (I keep getting people turn around to look at me during lectures because the original Toshiba drive in my libby makes such a racket when it seeks!). The 3 brands I know are readily available here are IBM, Toshiba and Fujitsu ... anyone got good/bad/neutral experiences with 10 or 20 gig drives from those 3 manufacturers? (30 gig drives are still well beyond my budget unfortunately ...) - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
