Ummmm. I've got a 70CT. The Smartmedia to PCMCIA converter works fine. The CAMEDIA Flashpath Floppydisk Adapter, however, states quite specifically that it will not work in non-builtin 3.5" drives and, sure enough, it won't. And I have yet to find a way to do USB from the 70CT.
