How about the following:- 1) THREE(!) unsubscribe commands:- - unsubscribe (unsubscribes you from everything) - unsubscribe individual (unsubscribes you from the 'normal' list) - unsubscribe digest (unsubscribes you from the digest) 2) super-basic "unsubscribe" footer 3) super-helpful SUBSCRIBE/UNSUBSCRIBE FAQ The SUBSCRIBE/UNSUBSCRIBE FAQ could be maintained by a 'volunteer' - maybe on a monthly basis. The incoming FAQmaster posts the FAQ at the beginning of his/her term (and monthly thereafter if not passing the baton), tweaks it if necessary, has the option to include his/her e-mail address in the FAQ, and may or may not send copies direct to persons seen to be having difficulty subscribing/unsubscribing, as he/she chooses. Everyone else on the list should agree to ignore unsuccessful subscribe/unsubscribe attempts. I appreciate this would reduce the 'humour' content, but this would be made up for by the fun we'd have with the FAQ, and the light-hearted (or just plain cruel) nominations for the monthly "volunteer"... --- TO UNSUBSCRIBE COMPLETELY FROM THIS LIST --- Send a message from the address you want to unsubscribe To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: cmd:unsubscribe --- OR REFER TO THE MONTHLY UNSUBSCRIBE FAQ --- ? ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
