(which linux doesn't know about - when it blanks the screen it doesn't turn off the lamp). What I don't know is whether there are separate calls to control the brightness and 'offness' of the lamp, or whether power is killed to the screen in toto (as the lid switch does) Neil _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
