Just got a HP M820E myself and someone here suggested that there were only a few people who still knew enough about DOS and drivers and settings who could get these things working under DOS. Well, guess I'm one of them. Here's the drivers in case you've got one and can't get these babies to work under DOS. Simple matter of understanding that the Librettos require C&S drivers to get the PCMCIA cards visible under DOS, then the appropriate HW drivers specific to whatever card you have installed after to get it all to work. Piece of cake with the C&S drivers & only a little pain to find the DOS Panasonic DOS SCSI PCMCIA drivers here at work online (forgot my HP drivers disk at home -- BUT! didn't forget my Libretto!! =). Anyways, if anyone has the same under other Libretto models like the L50/70 series, would you test and see if there is another PCMCIA driver required? (besides the ss365sl.exe file used specifically for the chipset on the L100/L110 PCMCIA slots?) Thanks! d =) -- 1) Set the SCSI card included with these two CD-RW drives to 16-bit. 2) Here's the only thing you'll need under the L100/L110. http://160.87.24.214/hpm820e2.zip (103KB) Everything needed to get the CD-RW to run under DOS on a Libretto L100/L110. Simply put all files on your HD (okay in root directory or in a folder). See included config.sys for the three changes to config.sys you need to make to make it work on the L100/L110.
