You can find them on EBay for prices ranging from $400-$700 depending on that packages. The L110 was not sold in the numbers that the earlier L50s and L70s were, so there's fewer available. But they had the fastest CPUs of the Libs Toshiba sold domestically in the USA (233Mhz or 266MHz??) I forget the exact model names... I think L1000 and L1100 (correct me folks) that are imported from Japan and modified to run English characters by Dynasimm http://www.dynamism.com But they're expensive new. You find them occasionally on EBay cheaper. Also there's the new Fujitsu LOOX for $1499 that's a bit bigger than the pre-L110s, but loaded with everything you'd want and more. Here's David's old post on it: ----------------------------- Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 12:22:36 -0800 (PST) From: David Chien <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Fujitsu LOOX makes it to the USA $1499 mininote w/DVD&CD-RW http://www.fpc.fujitsu.com/www/products_notebooks.shtml?products/notebooks/p_series For those of you looking for a small, faster Libretto replacement and don't want an older, slower Libretto, nor a drive-less L1/L2/L3 Libretto (or competing Sony Picturebook), there's the Fujitsu P-series (LOOX in Japan). 800Mhz Crusoe processor, 10.6" wide-screen 1280x768, 128MB SDRAM, 20GB HD, built-in 8x8x8x24 DVD/CD-RW drive & Ethernet & Modem, all in a 3.4lbs package (with battery). The price of $1499 for such a system is a 'steal' IMO, and an 'excellent' purchase for the price. There are no other systems at this size and price which have a built-in DVD/CD-RW. This is about as small as you can expect anything to get with a built-in drive. Sweet system!! =) (Too bad Toshiba didn't think of doing something similar with their L1/L2/L3 series.) d =) _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
