In case any of you have been following the difficulties I've had getting hibernation and standy - or more precisely resuming from same - working on a new 20GB Travelstar, the problem is solved. But not without drama. To shorten a painful and potentially embarassing story, after going through 2 full installs, 2 drive overlay programs (Disk Manager and EZBIOS), and hours of internet searching and emails, the problem was the ORDER of installing the Lib power management utilities. The L100 ctrl file (which includes the familiar and endearing Hairy Light Bulb and the really versatile Power Saver) must be installed first, then the L100ps98 file, which installs a profile in W98's Power Management. I will administer my own dope slap now.
