Hi all! OK I have a really weird problem. Or rather had ... 2 of them ... I resolved them but I'm trying to figure out how the problems got there in the first place. I installed Win98SE on my L100 and was pleasently surprised by the fact that the sound system was all well detected and all working (and no I wasn't playing the 'Time Warp' at the time). However I found that when I actually played anything through the sound system (Winamp, WiMP, really long system sounds, ...) then used the accupoint mouse the pointer would move smoothly then go bezerk ... either warp to somewhere else on the screen or recon I clicked the right mouse button ... before coming to its senses. And no it wasn't moving in time with the music. The music itself was fine though. I then downloaded the Win95/98 sound drivers from the Toshiba Canada website and installed them but here comes quirk 2 ... default settings gave me a yellow ! and reconed there was a resource conflict ... went into resources and found no conflicts but I couldn't open the sound device despite multiple reboots. Went to manual and set it to configuration 001 (as opposed to 000) and it all works, no conflicts (even though Windows couldn't figure out what the conflicts were in the first place) and no mouse pointer warp. I think I'm even getting a little bit of environmental audio stuff coming through (reverb, etc) but it could just be the echoes in my head ... Anyone else had similar experiences? - Raymond P.S. I just whacked a cardbus card into the left slot of the APR, it actually worked this time ... *shrug* perhaps that slot resents any PCMCIA card that isn't cardbus ... *shrug* ... I still can't hot-dock though (in fact I can't even warm-dock now) ...
