Subject: ff1100

Just brough back an ff1100 from Japan. A couple of questions.. is the memory
upgrade module the same at the 100, or some other tosh model? best source in
usa?

Second, I have a gizmo that terminates in a serial connector. Any cheap,
easy way to convert that to usb. Adapters I see are around $60. Seems there
should be a better way.

Last, I have been using a radio shack universal power adapter to power all
my various computers in cars and planes...they have a variety of coax
connector tips, but the 1100 uses something unique. anyone know of sources
for that, preferably that are interchangeable with the radio shack system?

lastly, and i am sure this is in the vfaqs, sorry, if i want to put in a
bigger drive, i can just install this one in my desktop, ghost it to a
partition on my big hd, then ghost it back to a new, bigger laptop drive,
pop it into the lib, and all should work same as always?? Is it that simple?

Not converting from Japanese os...it has lots of cool features. will just
install english apps on top. mike hodish

btw, anyone have interest, or value clues on a 70 ct, flawless cosmetic and
mechanical condition. hd upgrade was performed by micsol, not a do it
yourself job. I t will go with either a 3 or 8 gig drive in it, loaded with
all manner of software, 89 se, english, office 97, usa streets and trips, go
back , and more, modem card, 2 good batteries, both port replicators.
estimated value?

thanks all, mike hodish
