Subject: SVGATextMode and the L100

OK has ANYONE here been able to get the 'SVGATextMode' utility working PROPERLY under
Linux? Here are my modelines I've tried, they all 'work' until you switch to another
console or to an X desktop and back ... once you switch back, you get the 'standard'
size font (the 8x16 pixel fonts) except there were still the same number of lines (say
60 lines) so all you get is the tops of each character! The ONLY mode that seems to be
reliable to any degree is the first one (but thats because it uses 8x16 fonts anyway).

"100x30libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x16
"100x32libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x15
"100x34libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x14
"100x36libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x13
"100x40libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x12
"100x43libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x11
"100x53libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x9
"100x60libby" 40 800 864 928 1088 480 481 484 509 font 8x8

Alternatively, is there any other way of getting more than 80x25 characters in the
Linux console?
