1) Walk the disk with WinHex to find out where the hibernation data is actually being stored on your HD vs. partitions. Easiest if you open notepad and type in a unique text string to search on, eg "Librettos are wonderful!". 2) Win2K after maximum partitioning may have just jumped over the BIOS end-of-8.4GB hibernation area. Don't know until you test and see. 3) Just because the scandisk/whatever finds the HD to be intact doesn't mean the data is. do a binary file compare of the files vs. the originals to make sure. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
