Tim,

If your lib isn't clocked then you're going to have fun. I'd try Sonique in 
minimum display mode - will work on a P75 in W95 but has difficulty in W98.

Alternately, you can use the command line mpg123 decoder - feed it 
parameters like -b1024 to set up a big output buffer and -m (I think) to 
give a mono output. That's a very low overhead setup.
