If you haven't, my personal experience says that its well worth it. It's a nerve-wracking operation for the ham fisted galoots amongst us (myself included) but it is actually simple and has yet to have an impact on temperatures for me. YMMV. My P90 in the car-based MP3 player (running RedHat 7, admittedly) is quite happy to run PERL scripts to manage the system, run a database server, ftp server, web server...
