OK I've not seen that driver however I can hypothesis 2 ways in which it might work.

1: It doesn't change anything except the definition of the .cda files. In that case
your idea definitely won't work, all its doing is telling Windows that if it finds
.cda files lying around then it knows what to do with them (ie. locate the CD it came
from and tell the CD-ROM drive to play the track). This is the most likely scenario
because the second one seems pretty pointless.

2: It makes Windows 'rip' the track instead of copying it (effectively turning the
copy command into a ripper). If it rips to standard .wav files then you *might* be in
luck except for the possibility that it does this ABOVE the file system level (ie. it
won't intercept calls to the CD from a mapped network drive). If it rips to its on
proprietary format AND it intercepts the calls from the mapped drive then you'll need
the driver on whatever computer you wish to use the resulting files from.

I really don't like your chances. You'd be better off sneaking a copy of VNC onto that
computer and remote controlling it from your libby (I assume your main problem is
getting physical access to the computer). Then when its not being used you can quietly
install a CD ripping program, rip the CDs to the hard drive, transfer the files to
your libby, wipe the files from the desktop then uninstall the ripping program. VNC
