Just got the 1100 back from Micsol, they did the dirty work and installed a 20 gb ibm travelstar for me into the FF1100. They did not know if the bios has the 8 gb limit...turns out it does not. Plug and play, all the way. Keeping Japanese Windows on this... cute little tosh logo bunny pops up and say "Konnichiwa" when I start it, and of course, english apps install and run fine. Not being able to read the menus is not a big deal, it is layed out exactly the same as english windows...most of the keybooard shortcuts are even the same.
