http://garycoombs.com/LensWork.htm Understanding Depth of Field 23, 24, 25, 26 Basically fast lens = smaller values of aperture ratings on lens = f/1.0 for example = let's in more light when set to this value = large opening = more light let pass = requires shorter exposure = faster shutter speed required for exposure of a scene than a slow lens or smaller aperture/larger aperture value. Slow lens = larger values os aperture ratings on lens = f/5.6 for example = let's in less light when set to this value = small opening = less light let pass = requires longer exposure = slower shutter speed required for exposure of a scene than a fast lens or bigger aperture/smaller aperture value. Larger aperture = decreases in aperture values = eg. f/8->f/4->f/1 = increase opening size in lens and lets in more light. Smaller aperture = increases in aperture values = eg. f/1->f/4->f/8 = decrease opening size in lens and lets in less light. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
