No there was a special 3.5" disk you had to change 4 or 5 bytes in sector 1 or sector 0 it depends on the disk editor that you where using. As I recall, I thought that it effected all Toshiba's without built in drives newer than the 70. I've never used either method, but the dongle method has been known since the 4600CT or there abouts. Way past the time for Toshiba to do away with it. Simplest might be to contact the seller, he should know the password, if he doesn't that would effect the price I would be willing to pay. After all it could be hot. Would be just my luck, going through an airport in a month or two and to get stop for receving stolen property, long after proof of where I purchased it is gone.
