Subject: Sleep/Standby

Sure has quiet around here today!

Was remembering what people were saying about leaving their systems on, or
in a sleep or standby mode, and was wondering something.

Can one, or both modes be set to wake up instantly 24/7? It downed on me
that maybe that was what some people were saying they had their Libbys set
to do.

Normally when either the Windows energy saving power settings kick in on my
setup, or if I select "Standby" from the 'Start > Shut Down > Shut Down
Windows' window, the graphic of the LCD pops up showing data being written
to memory, and the system shuts down. If I hit the power button within a
few mintes, the system wakes up instantly. After 10-15 minutes the system
powers down totally, and when I hit the power button at that point, it takes
a bit more time to wake up.

I'm guessing that some of you have managed to configure some setting so that
the system wakes up instantly... yes? If so, where would that be set?

Matt
