Having just bought a Nokia Cardphone 1.0 off ebay, I am having problems establishing a connection to my ISP. Quite simply the cardphone dials the ISP access number but hangs up almost straight away with 'no answer', then tries again with the same result. Dialling the ISP using the same SIM card in my mobile I get the usual handshaking noises, so no problem with my ISP or SIM card. I can make a 'voice call' using the cardphone to the ISP number and also get the usual handshaking noises. Quite frustrating. I am using 98SE, and have no problem using my Siemens SL45 via infrared as a modem. If anyone on the list has any experience of using a cardphone, and could possibly give guidance, I would be appreciated. Maybe a 'AT' command is required ? Thank you. On another note while on holiday for a few weeks I left my 2 Libretto battery packs fully charged but neither connected to the lib. Interestingly both packs on my return had discharged very little in 3 weeks. If left connected to the lib, the connected battery would be flat within a week, even with the lib fully shutdown. I now always leave the lib with no battery connected when shutdown, unless connected to the mains. Mike. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
