       Hi Lee,

Sorry, I seemed to have missed your original mail..

       >Wouldn't that be lovely? As it is I have a port replicator
with just the basic ports plus iLink and USB (it's a Sony Vaio
Z505R). So, with the CDROM drive AND the Margi card both
       needing PCMCIA, I'm

..now if you had an Audio VCD player with iLink you would be OK
       ;-))

       never seen anything like that.

Don't think they exist, though some CDRW Drives can be
connected using firewire (iLink). e.g. from Archos or Freecom.
You _can_ get PCMCIA-to-firewire cards, but guess that won't
       help yu much.

I have managed to copy a DVD to my Portege 3440 harddisk, and
use PowerDVD to play it, but the playback hangs after a few
minutes - guess I also need to check my graphics resolution..

       A note for Pres:
to get the DVD-to-GO software working you need to totally
uninstall the old driver and software. Then reinstall it. I
have the WDM software working on my Portege, but not the card,
as there is no ZV port ;-(

Have a look at www.margi.com for help with getting the software
working and the latest drivers for both mpeg-2-go and
       dvd-2-go..

       Best
