Hi Raymond The rear polarizer is between the diffuser and the glass like you suspected. I don't see any reason why the RDF-C film wouldn't work as long as the polarizer came off ok and the light it filters and reflects doesn't mess up the color too bad. I'll give it a try when I install the brightness enhancement films. I think by replacing the diffuser with a POC thin film and using the brightness enhancement films I'll double the amount of light from the backlight so that adding the RDF-C which cuts out 50% of the light from the backlight will leave the backlight the same brightness. But if I'm able to turn it way down or off in ambient light I'll be able to use it much less. I should be able to add a good hour to battery run time plus be able to see the screen in full sunlight.
