Smartdrive helps a lot.

I seem to recall the last time I installed Win2K the
complete process took maybe an hour, or a little more.
That was done doing a clean install through Win95 on a
second partition. I did recently put it on my desktop
from scratch, and it took about as long using
Smartdrive from a DOS boot onto a bare drive.
