You can buy a PCMCIA adaptor - I use smartmedia in my L100 with an
adaptor bought from the high street that cost 25. Even with another
laptop, you may find that using a PCMCIA adaptor is by far the quickest
way to go?

I think the thing that continually draws me to the libretto is simply
*size*. Work provide me with an HP Omnibook of vastly better spec,
yet the Lib goes everywhere with me. Primarily it's used for website
development, MP3 playing, the odd document when I'm on the move but
most of all for digital camera dumps - then manipulation, then upload
to the web.

I also have a 50ct, and have to say that having used the 100's
screen I find it difficult to go back to the smaller resolution.
800x480 seems about the best compromise.

I guess I've always wanted the most functionality in the smallest
possible package. I've gone from Psion siena to Series 3c, 3mx,
5 then HP Jornada 620, then 680, then L50. Admittedly, this has
been over 6 years :-).

I now run Win2K on my L100 in order to have IIS running locally
on the machine. It's just brilliant.

It's a shame you couldn't get the Lib to do what you want. I hate
to re-iterate the point you've so obviously found, but these puppies
do need 32mb minimum. If I had a wish-list, it would be to get
128mb in the 100...

I'm tempted by the L1 or L2 and may try to source one from somewhere,
but the *size* of the 100 is still just amazing.

Of course, the "little vaio" would be nice, but that's just too
much money!

There was a point to this email, but the author has forgotten
it.

Enjoy pastures new!

Nick.
