Firstly, may I suggest that sending emails in allcaps and with an excess of exclamation points (!) certainly reduces the chances that people are likely to take your email seriously because it amounts to shouting. Frequent shouters tend to get ignored. Secondly, whilst I've not used USB under 2k on the Libretto before, I do know that the USB controller (along with the docking station's PCMCIA controllers) won't turn on unless the external power is plugged in.
