Hi all! OK here's another one of those "This isn't strictly libretto related but you're all a bunch of smart tech people so I may as well ask here" questions ... I'm thinking of buying a low-mid range DV camcorder (around the $500-$600USD mark I'd say). I'm eyeing the Panasonic NV-DS50 at the moment, anyone had any good/bad experiences with them? Anyone got any recommendations as to other brands/models that might be worth a look at or which I should stay away from? Also, a related libretto question ... when on the road, I'd probably be dumping videos from these things onto my 20 gig L100 through a PCMCIA (cardbus) firewire card ... has anyone tried this?
