Subject: HELP! I need a floppy drive!

Well, I sold my libretto on ebay. (only reason why I didn't advertise it here
is that someone bought it 6 hours after listing it) I was removing the linux
partition and making a single fat32 partition to span the whole drive when
after fixing it, the boot sector somehow got fubared. The thing won't boot
because the boot code is damaged, but the partition table is just fine.
I have to boot from some other device to fdisk /mbr it, or otherwise fix
teh boot sector. But I have no floppy for my libretto, it never came with one.
Is there anyone out there in the Seattle area who will let me use their drive
for a few minutes? We could meet somewhere and I'll buy you a hamburger at
McD's or a burrito at Taco Bell or something for your troubles.
I have even tried removign teh drive and installing it into my desktop
system, it reads just fine, but I cannot write to the boot sector of the
drive. It gives errors indicating that the electronics won't let me write to
it. I ran other tests and sector 0 is /not/ bad.
If anyone has a solution, please inform me immediately.

     PS, I'll soon be selling a 640x480 libretto 20 - 70 lcd screen. It has a
bad chip on it, but the glass is uncracked. Mix some parts from a cracked
screen, and you have a replacement at a fraction of teh cost. If fact, the
boards may be able to just be completely removed and swapped around, no
soldering required.

Many thanks,
