Indeed! I'm now running a fresh install of Win95 OSR2, and Linux (Vector
Linux) on my new Toshiba 20gig drive. Everything runs like a champ.

Setting it up was easier than I was anticipating too, I must've gained some
expertise via osmosis by reading so many messages in the archive ;-)

Here's a quick run through of how I did it for the archives:

Hardware: 70CT @ 150 Mhz, BIOS v6.20

I put the fresh drive (Toshiba 20g MK2018GAS) into the Lib, booted off
aWin95B bootdisk and partitioned into two sections with fdisk (LBA enabled),
then formatted the C: drive with format /s.

I then took the HD out and connected it to my desktop (via a converter),
copied the install set for Win95 and the install set for Vector Linux
(v2.0).

After putting the HD back in the Lib, I booted it from the HD and installed
95 as normal.

Then I ran Vector Linux's install batch file which can install Linux from a
BZ2 file on a DOS HD.

Using Linux's fdisk (I actually used crfdisk as it's a bit clearer) I could
see the whole 20g and after making sure to leave space after the windows
partitions for the hibernation file (I put in around 128MB to be on the safe
side) split the drive into my Linux partitions.

Then the install proceeded like a charm. I installed Lilo and can dual boot
Linux/Win95 even though my Linux partitions are above the 8.4g barrier.
Hibernate works fine too.

One thing of note, was that the Linux distribution I was using came with
XFree86 v4.1.0 which put up a bit of a struggle before I got it installed.
Some browsing of the archives here seemed to suggest that XFree86 v3.6.x is
the way to go with a 70CT. But after a bit of messing about I got v4.1.0 up
and running, the key is not to use the "chips" driver but rather the "vesa"
driver, then it works like a champ.

Thanks David, I picked that up from the archive. I'm running "RamBooster"
too.

Cheers,
 Alex.
