Dont waste your money - pile of junk. I bought one of the NX70Vs predecessor - 320x480 screen (main reason for it), and just screamed at how bad and basic the s/w is. The Sony add ons are nice but the puny memory card (128MB) is too small for anything. I wouldnt say the Palm based PDAs have what I would call an operating system. Each program is different. If all you want is an adress book - fine. But without a decent OS - no browser, no file browser it sits in my drawer unused. I bought a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 - similar pile of junk. The Opera browser which I love on Windows is pure unadulterated sh*t on the machine. (1 CPU _minute_ to render a simple web page - about 40k long?) The Sharp Zaurus network connection is a joke. If they had sole the Zaurus as a GameBoy with the only objective to connect to windows, it might have been a sure fire winner (I mean the objective to win the game is to make a reliable connection to windows). Another pile of sh*t. So I am stuck with my aged iPaq and it is nearly perfect for newsgroup reading (my own custom s/w + IE). But bulky (the reason for trying out the Sony and Sharp was to get something more up to date). My Libretto 70 is serving trusty service as my firewall - averages about 120 days uptime before I reboot it and have been running stellar service for the last 2 1/2 years. (I have a spare 50 in the drawer awaiting to take over when the 70 dies). +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Language Editing Modes revamp. | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | CRiSP - Flexible editor | CRiSP, syn. for BRIEF |# | | Internet: [EMAIL PROTECTED] |# | If you get no reply for | WWW: (mine) http://www.crisp.demon.co.uk |# | support, please check your | WWW: http://www.crisp.com |# | Reply-To: email address. | WWW: http://www.pacemaker.co.uk |# +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+# ########################################################################### ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
