So true.. fat pigs, they are.

# Icewm. I don't think it's on the redhat distribution, but you should be able
# to find it for Mandrake, and I think that will go on without problems, or you
# can rool your own from www.icewm.org.
#
# It's fast, light, and - important on a lib - doesn't use much screen real
# estate or require you to have a three-button mouse.

I agree, icewm is nice, but last I knew, it started getting bloated by
adding in all kinds of GNOME support crap.. not my style, I say; though,
hopefully, if you're in the mood for a little bit of tinkering, you
could probably compile icewm without the GNOME stuff..

Personally, I use fvwm2 with a heavily customized config; and I used to
use blackbox with a not-so-heavily customized config.. its all based on
your preference, the fvwm2rc that I use was derived from the ground-up
and seems to be pretty fast, while still being user-friendly enough
for my mother to use it (!).. I can make the .fvwm2rc/menu files
available if anyone has any interest.
