As the IBM 6G I am using now can't work with o/c 50ct
@100MHz......, I decide to trade it with friend to get
a TOSHIBA MK1214GAP (HDD2149) 12.0GB hd.

I've personally not heard anything ... any chance they'll let you at least plug it in and try it before you buy?

Having said that, I've not heard of any drive except certain IBM models having these problems ...
