(The delay while it tries to find a missing HD is normal through the BIOS) I'm still suspicious of the system ram - it's possible that it's delaminated a track or something, but on the original disk there's no reason to unless it's been bounced, and that usually shows on the screen :) All the maintenance routes in the tech manual will lead you to 'replace motherboard' which is sadly unhelpful.
