I've found that you often have to go into the BIOS settings when installing a new RTC battery, set the time and date, and then you won't get that message again.

thank's for the help have any idea what c:\\windows\system\VMM32\vpowered.VXD
dose everytime i boot up it ask's for it, but can't find it
Hmmm....I don't know about that one.  It may be a power setting in BIOS


and sometime's it get's to the shutdown splash schreen and just stay's there and dosn't shut down all the way and have to manualy turn it off
(saw fix for win98 se but not for reg win98)
That's a common Windows problem. I don't know if there's any one fix for it.

was able to squeez batt in with out splitting the case all the way
