I've got a Toshiba protoge 300 that's supposed to have an internal 56kb modem and has been flash updated to the very latest (so the firmware and AT commands say it is 56kb), but it only connects usually at 28-32kb vs. the PCMCIA 3COM combo ethernet/56kb card that consistantly connects at 43+kb on the same phone line, jack, cable, etc. Anyways, have found 3COM modems to be particular good at getting fast connections reliably. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
